Title: dropped bike
Post by: dbeck4022 on April 11, 2006, 10:53:24 PM
I'll get to the point dropped my bike (gs500f) on its right side: brake lever end broke off, and the bike won't start with out a little twist on the throttle then it idles then another twist and its stuck at 4000rpm. Is the throttle i.e cable messed up ( I turned the nuts on the cable at the control end, to no avail.) or bar end pushed in? So taking suggestions how and which way do I turn the cable end to adjust? Can i get another lever only, bike bandit wants $40 for the whole assembly?  Help please as I don't want to get reamed at the dealership if I don't have to.....

There are always several brake levers on eBay, and I'm sure you can find them off-eBay if you google it.  Good luck.

You can get some  after-market levers too...  Just search around.

And...  Don't drop your bike anymore!  :thumb:
