Not as in having a couple windows up simultaneously...I mean actually doing several things at once. How many do that? I do...earlier I found myself trying to watch law and order while eating, and during the commercials I'd flip it over to my auxiliary to play Tourist Trophy with the commercials in the picture-in-picture so I know when my show comes back on...won the Buell series during the commercials lol
just thought I'd share...
Internet usage - Fast usage
watching DVD - slowly
doing homework - kinda half-fast (read that quickly and you'll get it...)
I usually chat online, watch TV, and do homework all at the same time on nights where I'm not rushed. For example, right now I'm on here, doing a bit of differential equations homework, and watching Simpsons.

SIMPSONS?!?!? What channel???? I don't see it...

The Simpsons is on Fox here Mon thru Fri at 6pm and 10pm, and Sundays at 7pm.
maybe I should set my recorder to pick them up...since they don't play angel at 3am~5am on TNT anymore, and the X-Files is only on Tuesday and Wednesday at 2am~5am, and the rest of the week is crap, I could watch it then while I'm eatin supper.
I do all sorts of stuff. As we speak, I'm chatting on the laptop with a few people, playing Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy on my xbox, and watching Harvey Birdman on Cartoon Network. Normally I'd be listening to music, but my roommates Buddha Loves You if I play my speakers over the TV, and my headphones just broke (waaaaaah!)...
Oftentimes I'll have 8-10 IM windows up while I'm doing homework or browsing GSTwin, while listening to music. That gets complicated sometimes. That's why I love trillian, it always shows me just where I left off in a conversation, so I can remember what I was talking about.
On a different note, all you guys talking about tourist trophy are making me really, really want it. But I don't have $50 to spend on a game for my xbox. Sad, I know..
Tourist Trophy is a PS2 game...and it's only $40...

Damn.. I thought it was released on both systems, but I guess not. Which sucks for me. Oh well. As for $40.. I was basing my guess on the typical cost of a new xbox game. Don't have much use for a PS2, but I play my roommate's sometimes...
I have a PS2 only for Gran Turismo (and Tourist Trophy, now).
Most new releases for the PS2 are $50...the last 4 Gran Turismo games were (GT3 and GT$ were $54.98 when released). Tourist Trophy being $40 was kinda shocking.
Hey, when Sony wants to save me money, I'm happy. :) I'd probably pick up a copy of TT for my roomie's PS2, but he'll be moving out in about 3 weeks, as will I, so then I'll have this really cool game that I won't be able to play.
good ps2's are on ebay all the time for crazy cheap...
i have you multitasking solution, tabbed browsing. I have at least four firefox tabs open all the time, more if i am trying to find a solution for a problem a use is having, monitor email (Outlook), remote administrate people from wither my Mac or my PC, and run and fix things when people walk in, and run all the video teleconferences. There is me and my full time coworker and 2-4 part timers and we support the entire vetschool in blacksburg (1 big building and 4 smaller ones). Needless to say, i multitask at work but once i get home I drink one beer at a time
My multitasking is limited to work too... lets see, right now I have Outlook, Visual Studio, SQL server enterprise manager, SQL query analyzer, Word, Excel, Firefox(with 3 tabs), and a windows console open... when I'm taking classes, I don't really do much homework cause I'm lazy, and when I do do homework, I'm usually focused soley on it because its the last freaking minute and I have to get it done :icon_lol:
Always multi tasking. It's perfect because I can't focus on something for longer than 2 minutes anyway.

ROFL i forgot about SQL. I routinly have office products open all the time, plus Trackit - did i mention that i hate trackit and all over the counter help desk solutions. They are all way to damn bloated.
Since I got a laptop, I watch TV and post here at the same time. Stupid laptop.
don't get me started about bloated software... I'm surprised this computer is still running... I have to use all that bloated software (oh and I forgot about Access) on an XP machine with a 500 mhz P2 and (thankfully) 512mb ram... half of my posts on here I made while waiting for visual studio to figure out what to do with itself
haha i am using a system that was designed for a VTC unit, it sucks. Its better than the slug you use but its just a slug of a different breed rofl
