I'm too lazy to check your old posts, so I'm assuming that you have an "F" model.
I've been thinking about this problem too, but haven't thought of anything as of yet.
You could attach swords to the holes....Oooh, or how 'bout some pop-away grenades like on the wheel hubs of the batmobile....yeah...that would be cool :thumb:

To Nick: I mounted some on my friend's bike (EX500) directly into the original miror mounting bracket... I had to be a little creative to get a perfect fit and to hide the wiring... but a little help from my trusty dremel and a little heat-shrink and it looked great.
 aight so machine guns it is then. yes i have and f model
so no one has ever used them here?

I have an extra upper fairing that I had the holes filled and repainted because I wanted to install GSXR mirrors. You can mount the mirrors but it would look like crap and would be useless. The angle of the mirrors plus the angle of the mounting point on the GS just wont let it work. When I get more time I'm going to try and install the turn lights onto the original GS mirrors.
