Title: Finding the drive chain in a parts fiche
Post by: brett on April 13, 2006, 06:26:59 PM
I'm trying to find the drive chain in the Ron Ayers fiche, but I can't find it in any of the different sections. Is it not listed since it's a more generic part?

you generally dont order that oem.  Just go to your dealer and ask them for an o-ring chain for your gs500

or go to kerry's page. he made a list of suppliers(internet) for GS500 chain and sprockets. not sure if the prices are current. if i remember correct, for a stock bike you need 520 series with 110 links?  thanks Kerry!

It's part of the transmission.   :)

So I guess the answer is, yes, it's a generic part and, yes, I'm blind. Bonus points for Kerry's website saving the day yet again.
