Post by: melloGS on April 13, 2006, 11:23:04 PM
I did a search for front sprockets and found a guy that put a 15t sprocket on his 2004... he posted his part number from dennis kirk as GS500E 94-03... part#80-985-15 ...will this work for my 2005??

I would search this. I remember reading something about how some GS's sprockets have shoulders on them (I think that's what they're called...) and some don't, so it may or may not work. Do a little searchin and you'll find the answer.

the older ones are different. if you're talking about if something from an 01+ will fit on your 05, probably will.

The switch from the narrow ones (without shoulder) was somewhere in the mid nineties.

It should answer your questions. There is also information about what one to get, how to put it on, etc.  :thumb:
