Title: Help!! High Idle
Post by: nemesis109 on April 15, 2006, 11:53:33 AM
I know I could probably search but I am in the process of trying to get my bike back together. I have installed my carbs which were rejetted for a k&n lunchbox and wileyco.  The bike starts right up with no choke but it jumps right to 7000 rpms and doesn't go down. I checked the throttle cable and that has plenty of slack. I am not sure where else to look? Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks

Mike

Dumb question, but is the choke on! (it should be all the way up to be off)
try the idle srew underneath the carbs. it's the goldish coloured noob sticking down in the middle of the carbs. turn it with the bike running to lower/rise the RPM. I beleive it should be around 1300rpm at idle.
