Because I'm an ass:

My K4 turned K5 has 11101.1 right now. I'm gonna try to get a picture in 10 miles, just 'cause.

2004 just went 12000 miles, is about time to replace the fuel lines, relube the bearings in the wheels (2 mile dirt road to get to paved one way) and do a oil change and do the valves that i have neglected to do since i bought the bike, back in aug with 1900 miles on it. i know i know, i am hoping that the use of full syn oil has helped prevent damage.  and i also need to get a stage two jet kit installed, the k&n filter and gsxr 1000 mufler have poened it up a bit but the dyno run showd it could use some more fuel. its not bad but it isn't great. as it seems that no one will buy a bike with this many miles on it for the price i want or need, so i guess i will sell the 600 as i got it cheap and can turn a profit off it.  uuuummmm money

I bought mine Jan. 6, 2006. Since that time, it has spent more time in the shop than out of it (warranty battery replacement, and now crash-recovery surgery). It's got 475 miles on it. I think I need to do an Alpha patented fairing removal. Just have to find an E-style headlight...

My post about having sub-1000 miles and then upgrading was a joke, of course. Ha ha.

Seriously though, I hit 4009 as of 7 this morning. Shut it, I live in Oregon and only started riding in the rain a month ago. I should get at least to 10K by this time next year.

Wow, I haven't seen a thread yet where you don't try and solicit someone to swap tails with you.  Obsess much?

Just some friendly kidding, of course!

I'm not 100% sure, but I think I was the first to post a request for a swap on this board.  Then, all of a sudden, Alpha HAD ONE!!!

I hit and exceeded the 9000k mark this afternoon on my way home from work. After riding around a lil, I am not at 9,034  :thumb: Not bad for a central New Yorker.

Wow, you've really got a lot more miles than me. I've got about 1600 miles now. It seems like when we do get a nice day, I have to work.

I was just being an ass. I like your bike man, and I was trying to pretend like I thought my 4k miles were so many in comparison to yours, when they're actually not at all.

I need to start using the smilies...

K5?  :dunno_white:

Yeah, it's technically a GS500FK5 if we want to be anal about it. :P

I bought mine at the end of September '05 (obviously hehe) so basically november and I now have just a hair under 2,000 miles on her. I LOVE riding. Riding in the daytime is a completely different feel than at night. Night time kinda gives you a feel of freedom and liberation. Not sure why, though... Daytime is very enjoyable as well, and I don't really have a "favorite" time to ride, I just love to ride. :)
