Title: bye bye birdie
Post by: daneilah on April 16, 2006, 06:45:30 AM
Nothing compared to AJ's dog story, but I thought I'd share it anyway...

My wife and I were out riding on Friday afternoon.  We were doing about 80km/h when a bird swooped right into her front wheel.  Didn't upset the bike but she sure felt it.

I'm betting the bird's a bit sore too..... crazy critters.

That sucks.  I had to clean bird parts out of the front grill of my Maxima one time.  Not a fun job...

there are deer everywhere around here and they are constantly being hit by cars/trucks/motorcycles... I knew a guy that hit a deer with this truck and decided to leave all the blood/fur/peices of deer stuck in his front bumper and grill cause he thought it was bad ass.

I agreed, I would have left it there too cause it was too funny  :icon_twisted:

Yea I have shattered a few birds over the years.  Makes a big *poof* of feathers behind you which freaks out other riders or cars.

Sea gulls are the worst, pigeons the second worse.

A friend of mine got smacked in the head by a vulture wing mid corner. Scared the crap out of him. He was wearing a helmet, but still kinda unexpected.

You ever heard of Mechanically Separated Chicken?

And......  Wait a minute...  SPOKES?  Is that a GS?  And if so, where'd you get spoked wheels?

Try cleaning up your engine compartment when a rat gets caught in your fan belt and explodes all over the engine

It's a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan EN500..... and she'd love to have something besides spoked wheels... they are a definitely a pain to clean.

i have gotten two birds so far one off my an old helmat and one off the windscreen, cleaning in both cases was shitty to say the least.  Have fun cleaning that of that shiny chrome.
