well mike and I never really ride with anyone other than eachother and we finally took our cameras with us. we didnt do to much considering we got a late start because of me and having to piece together my bike after getting the new tires on the wheels. and changing some other parts aswell. they arent many pics but I hope you enjoy them.

I made the suggestion we should go pick up some of our gf's , but mike said all he needed was his bike for pleasure and proceeded to hump it .

I joined in and decided to give my bike the shocker

ah how the sun warms up your bike seat on a 90 degree day

our helmates rest as we over look the city

the sun also starts to set reflected by my visor, this is a problem when the sun goes down as we found out later that evening, there seems to be more bugs out this year considering last year I could just ride with my visor up at night. Oh well I deal with it. sure was perty

I think next weeked we might hit up the beach and camp or somthing
Nice pics! :thumb: Looks like you had fun, too. Good deal.
thanks,
Mike and I hit the road again today. we went to Jamestown/williamsburg headed down there around 17:30 (5:30pm)
we took route 5 there then hit the jamestown ferry and hit route 10 on the way back for some nice night riding. we brought along the clear lenses this time.
learned our lesson on that yesterday evening. I totally need to get a couple lipstick cameras.
Im gonna try to get some pics up from this trip but somthing went wrong with the cd in my camera i was takin the pics with. hopefully I can still read them.

seems like the only pic I could salvage i have one other method I might beable to get the pics off with.
this pic was of Mike and I on the ferry crossing the james by jamestown
And yes I was wearing a jacket tonight, Just took it off for the boat ride across the James..
That was a sweet weekend of riding.. hauling ass down Route 10 at night getting pelted with massive moths is hella fun.
Now we just need a video going through that tunnel with sound. the two bikes in there are super loud.
Sounds like you had a good time. Just a quick question... What kinda mirrors are those on the 500e? They certainly look interesting...

Look like Napolean bar end mirrors.
Yeah, thats what he has. Real pain in the ass too, You cant go full lock unless you flip them out of the way.. I rode that bike a little the other day after we put the new tires on.
same problem I had on mine, and I see he also has them turned in as I did. pain in the ass. took them off because of that.
cool pictures. interesting how simple and nice the naked e looks. they both look good though ( I love the 20th anniversary blue on the F).
The more of the E that I see. (ugh, I should write a rap now) The more I really like its rugged look. The F looks really good from the side IMO but looks sorta funny from the
front. still love it! would like to buy an 01 or so gixxer when I have some spare cash. I LOVE how they looked back then.. something about that big wide head light.
Edited for spelling error.

yes they are very much so a pain in the ass when trying to go full lock. I love them for how well I can see the road but I think i will be taking them off as well.
I like having them so I dont have to turn my head to see whos behind me most of the time and so I can see if a cop is behind me. although didnt help mike and I when we got pulled for speeding on saturday. The cop was cool though.

speaking of cool cops. I got pulled over this morning by a F.O.G. Cop this morning. I was going about 90mph in a 40. I know it sounds bad, but its on post (ft. Rucker) and they are strict with speeds around here. its a perfect stretch of road with no sideroads, and a great S-curve. great for opening up the GS.
anyway the guy stopped me and said he didn't feel like writing a ticket. :o man I'm so lucky. on post I'd lost my license. no more commuting for me. :dunno_white:
BTW: how much you want for those mirrors? I need a set for my fighter project. I don't want the mouse ears.
