Going down that hill was the scariest part of the day. It was amazing though, especially with the weather we had today and that view in the mountains. It cost $15/hour and was so worth it.

Beautiful!
I remember when I was stationed in Meridian, Mississippi, they had stables on base and we could take the horses out anytime except night (duh), I enjoyed that.
lol nothing like riding a horse through beautiful nj eh?
I had an Appaloosa a couple years back. I got in a bad accident and the horse didn't make it through. Far more upsetting and painful than wrecking a bike IMHO. It's been a long time since I've been on a horse. I used to do competition trail and barrel racing, I had a Morgan before the Appaloosa. In some ways I miss it, but I don't think I could own a horse again. It is a lot of fun though. Down a hill is easy by the way, shift your weight back and feet slightly foward in the stirrups, knees always bent of course, the hardest part is trusting the horse.

That's what it was...I didn't trust that old thing to not trip over a rock and go tumbling down.
Glad you had fun Amanda :thumb: That is a very good price too. I've went trail riding twice, and both times it was like $25/hour. Riding a horse is a great experience that I think everyone should try at least once!
Pretty freaking sweet Amanda. I wonder what kinda of MPG you get with them, though, or where you even pump the gas in the first place. Is that a tank I see in the back? :thumb:
Nice. For a second, I thought you'd traded on a permanent basis.
One of my three merit badges is horsemanship.
My wife used to ride in the local rodeos years ago. She had a bad accident too and gave it up afterwards. Her parents still have the horses. They really are strange, beautiful creatures.

I own 2 appy's. I ride both everyday + 100 miles on my bike. If you think you feel free riding a bike, try running as fast as the horse can go, Man what a feeling..
