Yeah, so i finally got a tank bag. It's a Nelson-Riggs...and it is amazing. To not have to carry a backpack every day to work is awesome. i've got my garage opener easily accessible in the map pocket. There's plenty of room for all the essentials...and plenty of things that aren't so essential. i feel more stable without the excess weight and wind drag of a backpack. And i am soon going to take Pantablo's (?) idea, and put a pic of the wifey (who is pregnant) for 2 good reasons to drive safe.
Surely not the most exciting post anyone will read today...but i had to share my enthusiasm...and my coworkers don't really get it. :dunno_white:
WTG! I love my tankbag aslo very handy. Thats a good idea to put a picture of a loved one in the map pocket to remind oneself to ride safely.
I need to pick one of those up.
And if we could go ahead and never say we "heart" something ever again, that would be great. Thanks.
Wink.
Put a pic of your loved one.......what if your loved one is your GS
Hmmmm

Now I'm gonna have to watch office space tonight :thumb:
I know! I rode my previous two seasons without it, but got one for this season. And already I love the damn thing. It is one of those thing: "How did I ever live without it?"
I totally love my Top Case... I mean... Other than the way it looks.
My friends don't get it either.
i slipped a disc in my lower back last summer, and my back thanks me for the purchase.
i don't know how this ended up in Odds n Ends. i wasn't even in that "area." :dunno_white:
Not that it matters...

People saying "heart" really is one of my biggest pet peeves. But I had to Lumburgh-ize it so I wouldn't come across as an ass while I was actually trying to make a joke for the 175th time in a row.
I watched it 3 weeks ago and it's still as good, by the way.
oh i feel you on the 'heart' thing... i have a few lady friends who say that all the freaking time it make me want to bang my head against a table
office space and super troopers can be watched over and over again and still be awesome

i said it in honor of an old friend of mine. i can honestly say he was the only one i ever knew that said that. He'll be honored i got flamed on a message board for saying that. Regarding your lady friends...i'm sorry. Just make sure you have your helmet on if your going to bash your skull against a table.
Currently my biggest pet peeve is idiots in SUVs who think it's okay to take 2-3 spaces that are clearly marked "COMPACT" My bike fits. My wife's cage fits. Your flippin Tahoe/Hummer/Expedition doesn't!
If they say they heart something, say "yeah, I testicle that too." It will pretty much end them saying that for life.
I tried a tankbag for a while when I first started riding. It was nice I guess. Didn't like the idea of magnets and vibration being around my camera, iPod, and other expensive items, so I went with a backpack. Couldn't be happier now. :thumb:

Haha Jake what was awesome :thumb: (reminiscent of the ninja thread)
So I just started looking at tanks bags. Are there any specific ones that ppl would recomend. I did find one that I kinda liked but it's $72! :o

What do you want a tank bag for? What type of size does it need to have?
I don't really have any specific use in mind, more for the unexpected times I need to carry something with me. The one that I liked was the Rapid Transit Recon 19.

I've got a small one that is great for little things. It's got room for my cell phone, wallet, jacket liner, bottle of water, snacks, keys, and some other stuff if I decide to cram it in there.

Boy, I sure liked one llike that a while ago!! (kinda inside joke for Alpha!). I just got my new one today! Big enough to hold a six can softside cooler and my water bottle for work. The side pockets hold my wallet, cell phone, MP3 player, etc. I can't wait to try it out. I am sure Alphafire will want one soon enough!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.  Funny stuff, right there. :)
But yeah, it all depends on what you want one for. Mine doesn't have a map pocket (a very conveniant feature for touring) nor the space capacity to hold a significant amount of things (also good for touring). Mine's great for short trips or around town.

Exactly, it was great for just weekend riding, I may get a second one for that purpose. Just got tired of my saddlebags for the little bit of stuff I take back and forth to work. So the new one fits the bill, no need to limit yourself to one. :thumb:
I have the tourmaster cortech supermini..... it is small but holds just what I need when I am just out cruising and dont need my work stuff.

Luckily I'm not teaching reading. I missed that part about you inheriting it.
Well enjoy it, you jerk!
