Teflon Nick, you're a gem.

It may increase HP, but you don't want that. I know you want a louder/shinier bike, so don't waste your time rejetting.

Yes Nick, rejetting will increase your bike's HP. I haven't fooled with my jetting yet, but I likely will someday. It doesn't seem extremely hard to do, but seems semi-involved. Keep in mind that if you get an exhaust (which I know you have been wanting..) that is not restricted, that you will have to rejet anyways. You will want to keep your air/fuel mixture set properly to keep your bike running at it's peak. Also keep in mind that you don't have to pay the $$$ for that "kit". Check out  Rejetting a 2004+ GS500F  (http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=12930.0).

She mentions the stock jetting, and then what to use if you have mods. You can buy and install the jets listed and prolly save a few bucks, so I hear
