Pops?  You mean a popping sound or movement?

Chains bounce...  Nature of the beast... 

If it's a sound, it could be a number of things...  What's it sound like?

And stop putting your bike in gear on the centerstand.  :icon_razz:

It sounds like you are revving the engine up with it on the center stand. Is the "POP" sound occuring while the wheel is turning?

I'd check the alignment of the rear wheel with the frame/engine. If they are angled any - and it is easy to do if you only tighten the chain and not consider the alignment - the chain will want to creep off the sprockets. It rides up the sprocket and then the chain tightens, but "pops" back onto the sprocket once tight.

There are scale marks on the swing arm that should be used for a coarse adjustment of the rear axle/wheel unit. Check to see that the slider piece tick mark is aligned to the same scale mark on each side of the swing arm.

To really get it right, you need an alignment jig on the floor of the garage for the front wheel/ rear wheel alignment. The engine/frame alignment should be intrinsic.
