Oh, it's not that I trust you, but ya see... blue is obviously the fastest. What color is the sky? Where do planes fly?

I rest my case.

Ya but Jet planes use... well obviously Jet fuel... and it's real close to red ;)

whereas 100LL (piston plane fuel) is blue, and piston planes are much slower than jets :flipoff:

So, the top 2 liter bikes in the industry are the Yamaha YZF-R1 and the Suzuki GSX-R 1000. Both those companies use blue as their trademark color. There's a reason behind that, and that reason is blue is the fastest.

Quote from Wikipedia : "red is considered to motivate action; orange and purple are related to spirituality; yellow cheers; green creates cosiness and warmth; blue relaxes; and white is associated with either purity or death."

Motivate action.... Red Moves!!!

Case closed

Damn you! I had a post ready to go and then my phone died. I'll sum it up...

I've never seen a red R1 (there's a burgundy wine one, but still...), nor have I seen a blue Enzo Ferrari. So it's bikes vs. cars. When it come to speed, let's summarize:

Cars- Red
Bikes- Blue

Hey nick, look up the member on here named 'airbrush'. Do a search for him. He custom painted his bike himself and did a fantastic job.  :thumb:

I went to look up Antibody's bike and he's no longer on our memberlist!!

Blue sells better, that's why Yamaha switched to blue to up their sales of bikes; yellow doesn't sell (although the anniversaries are), and white/red didn't sell (not to mention the terrible graphics).

Red is the second best seller.  But, red is an intimidating color on the racetrack, it's the color of danger, a rider behind a red bike is sublimminally distracted by the red and cannot concentrate enough on the track.

yeah but black and silver is for true racers, look at the most hooked up cars, their usually black with dark tinted windows and all that neon crap.
hey tanks i saw airbrush bike it looks sick, but i was thinking something more like a dragon, lighting or some trival

yes like you said... all that neon crap... all that extra weight must sure make the car go super fast

I always laugh at ricers that dish out the big bucks to get carbon fibre hoods and hatches and everything carbon fibre they can get to save on weight to 'make it go faster' and then turn around and drop more weight in stereo equipment in there than they saved in carbon fibre... Didn't really gain anything now did they?

Oh and just by the way nick, most ppl go for silver or shades of it, because scratches don't appear as obviously on those colors and the paint appears to remain clean for a longer time. And black is a good accenting color for silver.

Yea, Antibody's bike is awesome.  By far the best paint I've seen on a GS:

Orange to Red
White to a light silver
silver to charcoal

PFFT we all know GS's look best in RUST...makes you look hard...er...(riding a gs aint very impressive anyway) instead of like some squidly punk with a bike that sparkles brighter than the sun...

That's a really nice paintjob!! Personally I think it would look better in RED  :icon_lol:

I really like the triple-tree top with the dummy lights built into it, but I'm not too fond of the location and angle of the tach in the first pic, but it looks a bit better in the second pic with the fairing installed... but what about the speedo?
