And I heard, as it were, the sound of thunder.
And a voice that came from one of the four beasts said, "Come and see."
And I saw.

It is an '03. I bought it Saturday. No tags yet, but I've put on about 20 miles. This thing is a blast to ride. I'm so happy for me!!! I love this bike!
impressive. any plans for it? yet? or wait an see
sweet. they look the best in silver.
Too bad you couldn't contain your excitement better. Looks like you peed on the seat.
Wipe it off before the next photo layout will ya.
I just might have to get me a SV someday. Other than the pee it looks great.
Thanks! Those pics were taken by the seller. He had just washed it.
I have the cowl cover on it now, color matched, in place of the pillion. I wish I had a picture of it like that.
The only thing I might do to it will be maybe an under tail kit. That tail section is to pretty for a big black plastic fender.
Edit: and maybe a hugger.
And chin fairing. . .
And maybe a double bubble smoked windscreen. . .
But that is it.
nice bike man :thumb: I looked long and hard at the SV as my next one, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
oh you bastard!
Awesome. The person responsible for my addiction has that exact year/model/color. I keep trying to get him to trade, because it would match my truck.
You should open up the exhaust on it a little bit at least. Not necessarily loud, but removing some of the restrictions gives it the sexiest tone you'll ever here. It changes the character of the bike.
Absolutely gorgeous, and good color choice! The best ones are either the blue ones or the silver ones, IMO. Congrats! I hope you don't leave us here, though.
yeah JAke. you cant just ride the twins and never call em. they get all lonely. :thumb:
I'm not going anywhere.
How do you remove some of the restriction in the stock can?
I'm looking at SVRider.com trying to figure some of this stuff out.
I'm not going to muck with the bike too much. I bought it to ride, not wrench. Maybe some comsetics, but I want to hop on it and go.
The chicken head doesn't look too bad in silver...
Now get that undertail and hugger on there and go ride!
Looks awesome, thats exactly what I want to get!

You'd have to unrivet it and pull out the baffles, then rivet it back on. I was thinking something along the lines of a slip on for simplicity. When you hear the difference, I'm sure you'll jump on it.
Chicken head?
You know, I think the SVS looks better in person. It sort of looks big headed in pictures, but it translates nice when you are standing next to it.
Thanks for the complements everyone!
I guess you both look big headed...dork.
Congrats on your new bike, now ride it all the way to PA for camping. AND you better not be flirting with all the girls at SVrider.com :icon_lol:
Near as I can tell, there aren't any girls at SVrider.com. Besides, I like a good GS woman. They are easier. :icon_lol:

Oh... I meant "SVS" :icon_lol:
I always expect to see that thing pecking for seeds...
Excellent choice! Congrats! :thumb:
