Welcome.

Believe me, we're familiar with curveunit.  Read the last few pages of "why are girls on bikes so interesting" thread that you posted in for details.

Oh, never mind.  It seems that you were already familiar with the contents of that thread.  I see that you are doing your best to promote curveunit by coming here and creating an account to restart a dead fight with someone who complained that curveunit was catty.  Way to make your point.... :icon_rolleyes:

Hey Letty, welcome!

It's cool to see the two sites merging (in a positive way) and also to see the boost in the female population around here.  We may be the minority, but we are definitely not disrespected by the guys here.

As I told Mandy before, do not let a few negative (maybe jealous) members of GStwin.com make you think that we are ALL immature, trouble-makers.

Hope you all stick around and have lots of input on topics posted here.  Maybe we can increase the amount of female related topics and responses with the more experienced female riders joining our site.

Stay safe  :thumb:

I'm not jealous of you, nor am I against women, but I think you should go to hell. You join here, yet have no affiliation with a GS, nor any interest in it whatsoever. You come here simply to promote your site and waste our rescources.

You are no worse than any other spammer, and I hope the moderators see this and delete your account and ban you from coming here.

I'm gonna have to side with Alpha and call SPAM until they post something other than a promotion for their site.

I use the R6 forum, although I don't have an R6. But I've never promoted a site there or used for any substantial personal benefit. I've asked questions, I've answered a few, and I've even bought a part from the site. I'd say that's fair usage, especially considering that the R6 has been a bike I've been a little bit interested in for a while now.

They probably don't care about the GS, so until they're actually contributing, they're spammers.

there's been more posts calling it spam than there has been posts from curveunit. calling them spammers until they contribute seems like 'guilty until proven innocent'. so they introduce themselves as 'i'm so and so from curveunit, we do good stuff'; big deal. maybe they do good stuff. or maybe they'll just post once and go away. or maybe they'll hang out for a while, read gstwin, ditch their ninjas and gixxers and buy a nice naked gs or something. give them a chance to post. if all they post is promotion for curveunit for 10 posts in a row, ban them. but give them a chance first.

Don't act like you own the site and you can just kick people out b/c you don't like that they're affiliated with another site and they mentioned it here...it's not like they're advertising a porn site or some other stupid crap...Back off ya big bullies!

Nicely said, Suzuki10!!!

Welcome, Letty. BARF, SBR, GSTwins, Dangerous Curves, Curve Unit..... I have a finger or toe in all of these sites, so I've seen your nickname around! I'm glad you've found GSTwins, and I, too, welcome another female voice!

Hopefully see you on the road soon!  :thumb:

(P.S. That's a great Curve Unit group photo on your Curve Unit profile!)

Whoaaa!  Chill!  Everybody just chill the f*ck out!

I speak for all of GStwin.com and SVrider.com and KCSB.com when I say that Curve Unit is welcome here.  There is or likely will be some CU ladies that own or will own a GS 500 at some point, and as the ambassedor of quwan, I would like to encourage us all to build a bridge.

Alpha. . . <hisssss>  do as I say!!!!!!

My problem with them is that they join simply to advertise, which, by definition, is SPAM!

I'm interested in computer software, but when I get e-mail about where to find the lowest prices on software is still SPAM. Just because it involves an interest I have doesn't mean it's not spam. This is the same thing.

Actually, they weren't the first to mention Curve Unit. One of OUR members suggested that someone check out Curve Unit. I'd say it's pretty natural for them to come on over and see what we were about, and why not tell us something about themselves while they were here?

We're all about motorcycles. The women of Curve Unit gave me a much warmer welcome than some of them got here!  :thumb:

And now the women of Curve Unit know of a fantastic beginner bike to suggest as an option to n00bs. GSTwins.com and Curve Unit now have a history. We're intermingled forever. Our grandchildren will talk about the days waaaaay back when the two sites were strangers!  :icon_razz:

My mom grew up on Clark AFB in the Phillipenes.  She said that SPAM was pretty much the only meat they could get on the base.  Unless they were wanting to kill the gecos that were everwhere.

She got sick of it, so I was never allowed to have when I was growing up.

No, the girls from curve unit dredged up a 3 year old thread in order to peddle their site even further. After the first one left the thread died again and we forgot about CurveUnit once again. Then another CurveUnit "officer", who I might add has no relation nor no interest in the GS, joined the site in order to promote their site further. She dredged up the thread AGAIN, as well as starting her own in order to promote their site. The added actions she took against AJ only further my dislike of them.

It's spam. Undeniable spam.

I think there was unkindness on both sides. I would be pretty offended if someone called me ghetto when I'm really not.

But I am, so fire away!  :thumb:

I would also be offended if someone called me a Buddha Loves You when I'm really not.

But I am, so...  :dunno_white:

Now where's that dead horse...

Dakota tribal wisdom says that when you discover you are riding a dead horse, the best strategy is to dismount. However, in business we often try other strategies with dead horses, including the following:

1. Buying a stronger whip.
2. Changing riders.
3. Say things like, "This is the way we have always ridden this horse."
4. Appointing a committee to study the horse.
5. Arranging to visit other sites to see how they ride dead horses.
6. Increasing the standards to ride dead horses.
7. Appointing a tiger team to revive the dead horse.
8. Creating a training session to increase our riding ability.
9. Comparing the state of dead horses in todays environment.
10. Change the requirements declaring that "This horse is not dead."
11. Hire contractors to ride the dead horse.
12. Harnessing several dead horses together for increased speed.
13. Declaring that "No horse is too dead to beat."
14. Providing additional funding to increase the horse's performance.
15. Do a Cost Analysis study to see if contractors can ride it cheaper.
16. Purchase a product to make dead horses run faster.
17. Declare the horse is "better, faster and cheaper" dead.
18. Form a quality circle to find uses for dead horses.
19. Revisit the performance requirements for horses.
20. Say this horse was procured with cost as an independent variable.
21. Promote the dead horse to a supervisory position.

Ehhh I said I thought the site/peeps looked ghetto IN MY OPINION.  It was only my opinion and my opinion or reference point for "ghettoness" could be totally wrong.  I went on to say that there was nothing wrong with that though and that Curveunit prob just wouldnt be the type of people I would hang out with.  I also thought they looked squidly but that is just my opinion and when did my opinion become gospel.  I was also annoyed with the shameless spam and that everytime, like Alpha said, that we had moved past it one of them came back and brought it back up.  I was also disappointed about the labeling of the pic.  It was just rude and I never molest them on their site like that.  As far as I am concerned curveunit can go on and ride their butts off in Cali cause I this point I could really care less about them.

okay, you've all had your fun...now knock it off.

Did any of you consider that maybe curveunit might promote WOMEN MOTORCYCLISTS, of which there are many here. Some of which might be local to them.

If a member can contribute to the motorcycling community by being here then I welcome them. If they have a gs hopefully they can contribute to the gs specific body of information available here; or maybe they can use the body of information on the gs available here if they have a gs.

so leave the women from curveunit.com alone already.
