Took the morning off work, went to pick up mah new machine.
What a long process this has been... months of browsing classifieds and forums during the winter, tons of discussions with friends, saving money, dealign with formalities... it's all over thank god. License, plate, insurance, cert., bike + unexpected costs (but still within budget).
It's a 1992 gs500e, all red, with an aftermarket fairing.
QUESTION: How do I engage the wheel lock? I have it in neutral, kickstand down, wheel all the way to the left. I put the key in, depress it and turn it left to the LOCK selection. At this point the wheel is not locked, and I cannot pull the key out.
Strange. It should be locked when you put it in the "LOCK" position and you should be able to remove it completely. :dunno_white:
Welcome to the boards. :thumb:
Yea and the wheel lock was on at the shop where i picked it up
maaaaan
Welcome!
Couple things - You may have to push in a little bit and turn (to lock) and then it will lift right out.
Or, you may not want to turn the wheel all the way to the left (try all the way (or not all the way) to the right).
