Title: Textile pants for the inseam challenged
Post by: bbq on April 25, 2006, 01:23:08 PM
 Just realize that it is easier to "shorten" my bike than to shorten a motorcycle pants.....

Anyone has good suggestion for textile motorcycle pants that are good for short people?

I have no problem with leather pants since they can be shorten easily, but most of the textile pants look almost impossible to shorten with all the zippers around the hems, and armor pocket on the legs.

Fieldsheer has 'shortlegged' pants.  Oops, they've changed their website to say short inseam.  http://www.fieldsheer.com/web2006/SIZING/SIZING.html

You might check on NewEnough (http://www.newenough.com), too. I've found a number of their mesh pants styles are the same for men and women, so find a style you like, and see if it's listed in the women's section. They're the same pants, so don't worry about wearing "women's" clothes! ;)

Like Pandy said look on newenough.com but instead of the womens clothing check out First Gear.  Unless you happen to like to wear womens clothing.  They make several textile pants in short inseams.  Also Joe Rocket has the Blaster 5.0 textile overpants in short inseams.

Thanks God for internet!

It's already embarrassing to shop for my ski pants in the kids section in the ski store. If there is no internet I'll have to buy ladies pants in person in a bike shop.

So... I'm short... Not like midget short or anything... but at 5"8', I'm short enough... bought the FirstGear Fuel pants and they are awsome! I love them and they fit great... Three thumbs up!

I got the First Gear HT overpants very comfortable decent armor.  Like them enough to get the HT pants ( samething but don't have to wear pants under them )

I really like the First Gear, too, but I like to put "real" armour in them...I just feel better with something hard between my knees and the ground....

???

Someone's gonna take that wrong...I just know it...  :nono:
