actually shes runnin hella rich  ideas as to how many turns on mix screw? right now shes  ohh 1-7\8 turns each one. cause i had put new plugs in her, and it made it to end of drive bout 1/2 mile from house (my driveway) and stalled couldnt start. i was like dammit fouled plugs again  :laugh:had to push her back to house an jumped her off. to ride her up the last partr of drive then a lil while ago played with mix screws. will have to buy more plugs again tomorrow sometime but am sore now but have a pain pill to help with that ;) but any ideas as to how far screws should go out, plus are cheap but 3.67 every day can add up rofl

Hello yamahonkawazuki, according to what I've read, you start the idle mixture screws at 1 1/2 turns out and then adjust them to get the highest idle. Turning the screws in leans out the mixture, of couse turning them out makes it richer. You do know about the KZ Rider Website (http://kzrider.com/) right? As they've got a lot of info on these bikes. Mine's a '75 KZ400. I'm a member there also.
