hey i raced a vstrom tonight it was a 600. how is that posible his bike is 100 bigger than my gs ? :dunno_white:
It's more likely that it was 150cc's bigger, and my sister has trouble with first to second shifting.
...and by 600, you meant 650, right? 8)

haha... that's a good one.
Are you sure you weren't the only one racing, Nick? I've pulled ahead of a few Vipers and Corvettes on my SV650 in my day... because THEY DIDN'T CARE
Ummm yeah.... they didnt care.... just by the type of bike it is I would say the owner is going to be the type to "race" especially a little old gs.... they was laughing at you buddy
I saw a yellow v-storm with two yoshimura cans and it looked nice and sounded great!!

...Anyway....on a side note...I actually did race today* I got to ride a 636 today. I took it up on the flats and opened it up...sooo smooth, it has the new downshift power regulator so no rear jumping when you downshift. The suspension is amazing but a bit too tall for me. I did hit the govenor which is much faster than I should have been going. So I took it up to the Vermont border and was heading back on about a 4 mile stretch of flat straights. No traffic except for a Harley and a brand spanking new Aprilia RSV1000R So I pulled up next to the RSV because i wanted to take a better look at it. The guy looks at me and nods and takes off...I stay back...so then he slows down and nods at me again...I figured hey its not my bike what the hell...So I take off he caught me pretty fast, that bike moves but thats to be expected. Then we slowed down and I took the lead. The straight ends with a 15mph right turn. I took it at about 25-30 with no problem. When I straightened back up I look at mirror and the guy is on the other side of the lines. Theres a car coming but they see him and slow waaay down, he's shaking his head and finally gets it back over where it belongs. Now this guy was a ways behind me, he had to have been going about 15-20 into that turn. So he catches back up to me and I nod him over to a parking lot. Turns out hes had the bike two weeks, barely out of break-in (that his dad did - the harley rider) and hes taking his MSF next week. So I gave him a few pointers and told him to ride safe, take it way easy and don't pull a stunt like that again. He was 24 or 25 I dont remember. What a day....
*AJ yelled at me I already got an earful. I was wearing full gear and definitely don't recommend this. I'm sorry I was squidly.
I yelled at her because I love her and dont want anything to happen to her :kiss3: :kiss3: :kiss3: :kiss3:
it might have been a 650 not sure all i know it was a vstrom. the dude reved his engine and started out fast so i guees he wanted to race me
Lol ok vstroms come in 2 varieties 650 and 1000 and I know for a solid fact that if it was an 1000 u sure as hell didnt beat it.

My friend has a stock 2003 SV650S with the same engine (IIRC) as the V-Strom. From my experience riding with him, I don't believe that he was racing you.

AJ, do you find it ironic that 1hotRN rides a 636 too? That begs the question, who's 636 was Pastrami riding? :o
 I was riding a 636 from a 28 year old man that lives in my home town. He had a nail through his tire that wasnt plugable and my uncle was replacing it and some other things in his shop. He's got a bad hip and toes and cant shift with his toes so i took it for a "test drive"
Likely story! You had me until you made up that sh*t about his toes not working.
Tell Letty I said, "What's up."
Ummm she got in touble for riding that not because per say she was riding Letty's bike but the speed she was riding was unacceptable. So we are just not gonna talk about this anymore.....k
