I've never heard of them. I would rather use vance and hine. their exhaust is 20.00 or so cheaper and you know its of good quality. that site doesnt even show you what the exhaust will look like...

I had a NOS Jardine full system on my '01GS (as they stopped making them around '94), and I really liked the look, sound, and performance.  The finish did not last long, and I had to repaint the header amd mid-pipe, but overall I was very satisified.

Yeah I am waiting for this too. There are a few things I noticed which is why I'm not just ordering one right now....

1) Even Jardine's own catalog doesn't have listed a full exhaust for '04+ models. So then how did Exotic Sports Bike get one?

2) Exotic Sportbike has a BBB complaint in January for misrepresenting their sales products. BBB followed up with them, but they could not be reached due to "returned mail and phone disconnected". You can read it yourself here: http://www.concord.bbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=92011236

3) I called Exotic Sportbike myself to ask about the exhaust, and if what they sell is a self modified version, but there was no answer, no automated message, and no answering service.

All of that seems sort of fishy to me, but despite it they might still be legit. I wouldn't want to be the guniea pig, but since someones already got one on order, I'm interested in seeing how it turns out.

If you search their site, you can find it. It is not listed in the normal product section, and there is 0 dollar value. It looks like a place holder, but it does exist on their site.

Ok,  I talked to exotic sport bike and got the order number for Jardine.  Called Jardine they said they were making and tweaking the pipe should ship out by 6/3.  Of course they could have sent me a email telling me this two weeks ago.  Jardine does not stock it yet.  But they do make.

So i have a 92 gs500.

If I were to replace the exhaust with something better sounding, better performance... can i get one of those things called a "slip-on" ?

One mechanic told me that I probably have to get a new pipe all the way to the engine, is that a regular thing to do?

Slip ons typically will not net you much power. Roughly 1 or 2, maybe. They are for looks and sound, for the most part. Cheaper than a full exhaust system. Full systems (from the engine to the muffler) can be put on too. They give a bit better performance increases, but also require rejetting. It is a fairly common thing to do.

I have pictures on my website of my buddy's bike, which used to be aplitz's.

Jardine sounded just fine.  Fairly loud, but quick response, and good tone at WOT.  I'd buy one before V&H ever saw my money.

I wonder if Jardine was a bit better about design so that one can change their oil filter without removing the entire freaking exhaust. Stupid V&H... I wouldn't have bought V&H if my bike had a stock exhaust when I bought it... I had Jardine headers in my last car, I loved em. Good stuff. A cute chick works behind the counter at Jardine HQ, too  :icon_lol:

They were, I changed the oil on said 01 with Jardine full system with no problems.  Once I decide if I am keeping the GS, I'm going to either sell it, or buy a Jardine and take it to an exhaust shop and have them turn it into a high mount for me.

pipecity.com is a dead link.

Technically, you are right with the "racing exhaust" comment, but honestly, would they have put as big of a can on it if it was an all-out race application?  I think not, and they know 99/100 of the exhausts they sell will be on road-going bikes.
