Vintage bike show and rally here in Austin! on June 4th!
It's going to be held at Ski Shores on Lake Austin.
They start setting up at about 10:00 am, but things don't get going till about 11:00. It last till late in the afternoon, probably about 5:00pm.
I'll plan to get there about 11:30. If anyone would like to meet for a short morning ride in the neighborhood before that, then we could ride and show up at Ski Shores about 11:30 and meet anyone else that can show up.
To get to Ski Shores, take City Park Road off 2222 (just west of Loop 360) till you see a sign that says Ski Shores with an arrow to the left. Take the left and follow the road till you come to Ski Shores. It's at the bottom of hill just before a right hand sweep in the road.
This is a really nice get together of a bunch of nice people with some really interesting bikes.
Anyone interested?
There is a huge variety of bikes that show up, from old Kawasaki and Suzuki big triples, Japanese café racers, European classics, rat bikes, old Harleys, and more. There are a bunch of really awesome bikes that turn out, and it's great because you can talk to the owners about them too. They have vendors there too, but not very many. The Ducati shop turned out last year with the GORGEOUS MH900e at their side, as well as some vintage superbikes and modern ones by their side.
All in all it's a ton of fun with a lot of great bikes. I'll be going with my father, who will be taking his 1982 Honda CBX if he hasn't sold it by then.
I went two years ago and had a blast. Definitely worth the trip from Houston, DFW, El Paso, or wherever you're from in the US.
mmmmmm .... i might be able to make it . who knows is it on a sat? ........ if it is i would not be able to be down there tell about 2pm or so .. we will see
Nope. It's on a Sunday.
Coming up pretty soon here! Anyone around should try and make it out! Lots of GREAT bikes!
That might be worth a trip.
I'll see.

My father and I are going to try and get his CBX put back together by Sunday, but that might be a long shot. He had to rebuild the carbs, and that's a pain in the ass to do when there are 6 of them.
I had a blast when I went, but then again I absolutely love vintage bikes. Lots of really awesome café racers.
Oh man, I'd love to see some old soviet Urals.
Well, it seems like I can't make it this year, unfortunately. I'd really like to, though.
So keep in mind our noble heritage:
