So I went out with a few buddies on our bikes (about 10) and we stopped at someones house. After about an hour 8 guts left for a touring trip and I stayed with my other friend for about half an hour later.
While we were there, a a firend of the person who we were visting came by in his 90s ish mustang. So we all chat for a while and he leaves.
I hear him start his car up and he goes into reverse for a long time. 10 Seconds later bam! :o
He hit hit my @#$!&*# bike! It fell right on the ground pretty hard. Unfortunately the ground wasn't paved and there were all kinds on rocks...
So now my font fairing is scratched pretty bad, clutch lever bent, bar end scratches, shiter bent, rear body cowling cracked and scratched, mirror scratched bad, centre piece of rear fairing scratched.
 :2guns: :bs:
Luckily my helmet was on the other side and didn't touch the ground!
To top it off, I didn't get insurance info, I only got his name and phone numbers, he said to bring it to the dealer and he'll pay but well see.
shaZam! like this really pisses me off since my bike was in MINT shape, and even if its a 500, I treat it like its my R1. My buddies say its only a learner bike... so leave the BATTLE scars but I want it ALL fixed.

yea, leave the battle scars from you f&^king up, not from some jackass running it over while it's parked....
make him fix it! :2guns:
that's what the wal-mart parking lot is for..
if you value your life you probably should not drive a motorcycle though a wal-mart parking lot on a weekend.
lol, doesn't it hurt more that yhe first damage to your bike wasn't caused by yourself!
My bike the other day was pushed or dropped by some "bleeping bleep wit" who decided to touch/sit on it when I was away from it for a whole 5 minutes!
Ahhhhh!!!! Always call the police and get a report!!!!!! That way there is a legal record of what happened and you will also have all of his info. Do this even if it is a friend. A true friend wont mind at all. But at this point you could very well be screwed.
eh... I don't know if I like getting the po involved if it can be resolved privately... even if you're not at fault and you don't make any claims, it still goes on your record and shows up when you apply for insurance. I would have gotten his insurance info in case he does try to screw you, after all you do have all those witnesses. Worse case you can drag his ass to small claims :thumb:
You know... You do have the right to turn it into your own insurance company and let them deal with the a$$hole. They'll take care of the claim, contact him for his carrier and if he doesn't provide one they'll file a judgement against him for the settlement amount.
