Title: Farings
Post by: mrzogg on May 01, 2006, 05:35:24 PM
:dunno_white:I have a 1997 gs500e and would like to put a fairing on for wind reduction on the Highway. Is there anything I can bolt on fairly easy? :thumb:

Are you talking fly screen or full fairing? There are a few full fairing kits availible for the GS, but more flyscreens than full.

For a full setup, the Titan package comes to mind.

Some popular flyscreens are the National Cycle F-15, F-16, and F-18. You can also fit a Ducati Monster or Buell Blast flyscreen as well, or most any 7" headlight flyscreen with some fabrication. Do a search and you can find some pictures of all of those.

The "After" pics in this thread show a "Stock" GS500 1/4 fairing: http://gstwins.com/gsboard/index.php?topic=19968.0

Welcome!

National Cycle makes a bunch of removeable windscreens (the F-15, -16 ,-18 and N2940/N2490 <-dyslexia kickin' in), that you can view on their website.

:thumb:Sounds good I will check some of those out. I have a bug screen now but like the look and wind break of a full faiaring. How do I post an image, I tried but can not seem to get it to work?

Copy the URL of the picture from the pop-up when you right click on the picture, then when you post, or reply, click on the picture button (2nd from the left, lower 'tags' row) and paste the URL.
