today i went out and got new plugs for my gs500. i changed the left plug fine but then came the nitemare. as i started to loosen the right plug it sheered in the head. i did not want to have to strip the engine as it was a great day and i did not want to loose riding time. then i remembered about my torx set. i picked out some of the ceramic from the threaded part that was still in the head then i hammered the torx into the plug. it was a good fit and bit into the plug well. i used the ratchet and gently screwed out the threaded part. day saved and no head off. new plugs fitted before lunch so still plenty of ride time. hope this will help someone out of a stick situation. :)
Good one. Thanks and Welcome!
That worked out well :thumb: I had the same thing happen but went and bought an ezout. And the new plugs got a nice coating of anti-sieze compound on them so it hopefully won't happen again :)
