Title: break sqeaking

I have an 04 gsf with only 550 miles on it. but the rear break have never stoppped sqeaking. Is ther anyway to fix this problem?

Welcome to the club. It is standard on the '04 and '05 models. I thing it costs $35 to get it on the '06's.  ;)

It's fairly normal, mine is worse when wet. I would not get too concerned about it.

Welcome Z.  There are many things that put our little GS's ahead of the competition.  And as Dave said the standard squeel is one :laugh: :laugh:.  I have about 4500 miles on mine and It has had the squeel from day one.  Only happens when light to lightly moderate pressure is put on the back brake.  You will get used to it before you know it.  One thing you could check though is your rear wheel alignment, i have noticed that if my alighnment is off even a little then the brake will be a lot more fussy.
