ok u nerds. show me ur favorite xp skins and where to get them!
Litestep is a pretty cool shell replacement for windows xp. It isn't the easiest thing on earth to get set up and running but you can make it look how you like. Also they have different skins for litestep. I always just used the standard one cause i like it alright. Google search it and you should find somewhere to download it from, i can never remember exactly where to download it from .
I like that one that looks just like Win2K.
Style XP is what I run mine through (PM me for some "info", if you catch my drift). There's one bundled with it that gives an OSX look to XP. It's pretty, clean, and functional. Couple that with a similar Firefox and Thunderbird skin, and everything just looks a lot nicer.
I'm glad I can right click, though.

Oh please. The only thing I like about Mac is that they are pretty. I much prefer the functionality of my PC (laptop, really). Most of the programs I use, and will use, and have used, have all been PC compatible. Most engineering programs I've encountered are designed around a Windows platform, so it's really the ideal thing for me.
Plus, this isn't a Microsoft thing, but rather a software package from TGTSoft.
NO!!! Not another Macs VS Actual Computers debate!!!! NO!!!!!!
STOP! AUGH!!!!
they both suck, and now they both suck the same because the both use the same crappy x86 architecture from the 1980's
and StyleXP is the way to go... I used it for a while until I decided I like the 'vintage' look better... it also lets you change your boot screen and windows login screen
Mac sucks. I have an imac, I know. I like KDE but I like gnome better for a gui personally.
yeah I just use KDE cause thats what I started with back in the day... actually I think I like gnome better too
Haha, i love how worked up people get protecting their computers. Me and my best friend used to constantly bag each other's computers all through college. It was always PC vs Mac. He was Software Engineering, i was Graphic Design...so we both had to have what we had, and were doing nothing remotely similar with our machines. Now we can't argue anymore though, cause he's a CS doctoral student at Cornell with a Powerbook. Go figure.
i admittedly don't know much about PCs. i just know i don't know how to use them. My wife brought one into our marriage and i hate it. i grew up with Mac OS, she grew up with Windows. She has a hard time getting around on my computers, i have a hard time getting around on hers. Whatever.
I've never used an Mac pc however i know ALOT of graphic artists who will swear by them, mainly because the pc's apple sell are so overkilled with performance e.g 2cpu's etc tonnes of ram and massive HDD and graphics cards that these are perfect for 3d art. My ICT teacher who worked at codemasters doing 3d art work for their games swears by a Mac also but says you'd be stuffed if you tried to use Mac as your home pc because its a pain to make it compatable with windows pc's etc...

If you have a GUI desktop, then you're only a dork. I think you have to be using lynx at the command prompt to be considered `a mega dork.
