so, on my way to work, and home from work today, I found a new "neutral" on my bike. It exsists between 2nd and 3rd.
Please, tell me.... what is wrong.
False neutral.. Sounds like a case of LLT, or Lazy Left Toe. It happens when the transmission disengages, but fails to reengage. It's got something to do with the transmission dogs, but I don't remember exactly what. Just give it a bit more oomph next time.
ride it like you stole it... problem solved. :laugh:
I see.
Well, then no worries, I"ll just bash the shaZam! out of it.
Yeah its happened to me too when down shifting and I only lightly tap the lever.
Stop sissy shifting :icon_razz:
That's the beauty of the GS..you CAN bash the sh%$ out of 'em! :thumb: :laugh:
BOY do I know this well! :cookoo: :icon_mrgreen:
well okay, I already said I was sorry....
Geez....
Nothing wrong, technically. One pair of gears must be disengaged completely before the second begins to engage. If the shifting forks remain in exactly that position, no gear pair is engaged and you have false neutral.
Yeah blah blah blah. What it really boils down to is that TragicImage is a SISSY SHIFTER!!! WHOOO HOO!! HAHAHAH!!!! *rolls around around on the ground laughing hysterically and pointing at you*
HAHAHAH!!! SISSY SHIFTER!!! WOOOOOO!!! HAAAAAHHH!!! HEHEHEHE!!! AH HAH HA HAH!!
YOU ARE A SISSY SHIFTER!!!! WOOO!!! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:
</end stupid immature foolishness>
Wait a minute here is a little more...
