I know I'm not ready to upgrade yet and that I have a lot more to learn, BUT, I went to the local dealer with my friend looking at bikes. I think for my next bike I've norrowed it down to either a gsxr-600 or an SV650S. But now that I see that those bikes only get about 35-40mpg, that makes me want to keep my GS forever! Out of all bikes, what would you get next? , keeping the price range under $9,000.
If I could do it all over again....I'd still get the 600rr. yep-35mpg roughly...but thats with a daft hand...
so that's like 110 miles on a tank?
I'd get another SV 650 S, if I had it to do all over again.
I burned through an entire tank of gas this weekend, just riding saturday and sunday. $9.00 to fill it up. It would have been a bargain at twice the price. I mean, seriously. Since I skipped a meal both days, I probably MADE money by buying gas. :dunno_white: I was having too much fun to eat. I only stopped to go pee and get gas.

What kind of mileage are you getting?
I would have skipped the R6 and gone straight to the SV650S. I can wring about 45 mpg out of her if I cruise at 55mph in 6th gear. Spirited riding turns about 30-35mpg.

more like 130 to a tank, till the reerve light starts blinking. and thats not commuting and going easy on the bike-those are hard fast canyon miles...
Well, that's not quite as bad as I though then.

cbr 600 my bodys is insane. or a zz6
I'd get a GS with a 99 GSXR USD front end and a RGV250 swing arm
and a KAT 600 rear wheel with a C.F. solo tail and a 1989 GSXR upper hard mounted to the frame with dual headlights
good gas mileage
good handling
and the best part
bikers can't figure WTF it is when ya park next to them :icon_razz:
oh yeah i got all them parts....need the time to duct tape them all together
actually a F3/F4/yzf600/VFR750-800 would be a good high speed touring bike that could pull some fun twisty duty
fun and comfy enough to ride all! ! ! ! ! day
