When I was removing fuel tank, I, obviously, had to disconnect two fuel hoses from the fuel shut off valve.
Well, when I was trying to remove one of them, off the long spigot, the whole spigot came off with the hose. I did assists myself with a flat screwdriver, but the hose didn't move at all and eventually the tube came off.
Now I have two problems:
1) I still need to remove the spigot from the hose and now it is even more difficult. I am thinking I may have to cut the hose and replace.
2) I am concerned about a fuel leak if I simply reinsert the tube into the valve body. Should I use some kind of cement?

mine did that too. I just reinserted with no sealant or anything, said a prayer, and I had no leaks. It's happened to mine twice. Make sure it's not bent, and that it's good and tight in the bore when you reinstall it.
did you have to cut the hose to get it out, or have you never got it out and just reinserted with a hose attached?

I think it would be a real good idea to use some epoxy to seal it and prevent it from coming out again. If you find that it leaks I believe Alphafire had one for sale cheap in the FS/T forum.

I whacked mine a few times with a deadblow hammer (plastic face). It hasn't leaked or come out since.
