Why not get a set of Vortex ones off eBay for $120?

or some unnamed "major aftermarket brand" for $100?

I think with the F model at least I would need the riser to clear the fairings, those just come right off the fork tube.  I just happened across those browsing around that site.

Nah, you just remove the plate that holds your normal bars, drop the forks a half inch, and then bolt them on. A guy on here named airbrush did it on his, said it cleared the fairings and the tank easily.

yeah, i now vaguely remember reading about that at some point   .  I just got excited when i saw them with the rise, so they could possibly go under those plates.

No, he says that using these to lower the front end one inch is a bit much. The lowering of the front combined with the agressive stance of the clip-ons would make for a twitchy combination methinks.

has anyone bought from this guy? pics? I'd like to see them mounted on the gs (I've got an '05, but don't care what year) with or without the risers.

Here is what I would like to do.  I made a doodle in paint real quick to give a picture.  I wish i had AutoCAD   .

You'll love CAD until the first time it crashes.  Fly a Mayline Futur-Matic with a Vemco Mark 7, you'll never get tunnel vision again.

Unless you have a reason to constantly modify drawings, or a need to E-mail the thing around the globe, a board is faster and more reliable.  Plus, in the days of bubble jet plotters, inking stands out.  Hell, even a 2H blueline looks better than these trouble-jet funnypapers they're perpetrating on shops everywhere.

BTW:  That's one of the better Paint doodles I've seen.  :thumb:

Personally, I prefer Solid Works, but that might be because that's what I learned on.

Just curious... What are these things for? Why would someone want them?

They are clip-on risers. They give a clip-on feel and look, but higher up for better comfort.
