Those pics don't show that the front panel is totally perf'd...
I'm worried about the black being too hot... But, I don't think the blue will be much different.
And I'm totally NOT worried about coordinating colors.

Not too sure about the Violator... I think it's just outside of my "flashy" quota... But, I'd have to see it in person to really know for sure.
Teknic also has the Prowler (http://www.teknicgear.com/catalog.php?styleid=1&pid=61).. Although, it looks like a Grrl's jacket.
And the Chicane (http://www.teknicgear.com/catalog.php?styleid=1&pid=10). But, the colored ones are WAY outside my flash allowance...
id go for the black alpinestars...looks best IMO.
and of course the brand is proven so you know its good.

Blue, the coloured panels work so well - it would be a shame not to show off how well the jacket works around the colours. :thumb:

Do you want cool (i.e.: look cool - black), or visibility?
I think the blue looks cool, it will match your bike (so will the black one, and the black one will match any future bike you get), and bug guts will be less visible on the blue than the black.
If you do go for solid black consider the TourMaster Cortech Coaster Air, I am very pleased with mine (I wish I had the money for colored leather).

No one could see me with my HOLYSHITGREEN jacket, so I don't see the diff... I wear a black/gray jacket now and haven't died yet.

kinda like the looks of this one: GX Air (http://www.tourmaster.com/product.html?sku=86-777) and it has "two-stage waterproof/windproof & insulated liners" I probably won't like it once I try it on... I don't like most mesh jackets I've tried. :icon_rolleyes:
A lot of the leathers I like aren't perf'd at all... And that would be hot. :cry:

Well, I tried on a GX-Air the other day, and really liked it A LOT... just my $.02
