Team Sheriff Racing's "Beat The Heat" program is offering another street-legal trackday for first timers to the track. For those of you not familiar with it, this is a trackday designed specifically for those riders that have never been to the track before.
Tuesday, May 30th, 2006
Streets of Willow Track
Willow Springs Int'l Raceway
Rosamond, CA
Thanks to the Motorcycle Training Center (MTC Trackday), we will be offering this day at the Streets of Willow track at Willow Springs International Raceway in Rosamond, CA. The day will be offered at $75 (normally $135), and those that attend on the 30th, will get a discounted rate for the following day at the Big Track at Willow.
MTC has opened the restrictions somewhat, and there will be a separate group for regular riders as well (the same other restrictions apply, see below)
Restrictions/Requirements:
* Street Legal Machines Only
(NO RACEBIKES OR TRACK PLASTICS)
* Those under 18 MUST bring a parent or guardian.
To register, contact MTC at their website or by phone...

Space is limited, so register today!
....its better to CALL to register cuz their online registration suck ballz!
wonder what the "opened" restrictions are...
opened up the restrictions on having ridden at a track before. one of their last events was overrun with sandbaggers on race bikes. Everyone was trying to get in on the low price.
go to the MTC site, download the 3 forms, call them to make reservation and pay, fax in paperwork with registration number. no online payments are currently being accepted (temporarily).
I've run several trackdays with MTC and they're good. One of only a handful I would consider running with. They are the same people that do the local MSF course too, so it was nice to see the same faces when I did my first trackday with MTC (not at a beat the heat event though).
Streets is a good track. good for the gs too, since its tight and technical.
how about gear required?
Pants and Jacket I know, but do they have to connect?
MTC doesnt require em to zip together...but its better if they did(to protect u more).....
$75 is a hell of a deal.
Now that I'm back on the East Coast I have to pay twice that go to my local track (Summitt Point).

check again. it might just be a condition of this "new to trackdays" event. The jacket/pants have to zip together for their other events.

yeha, but summitt point is supposed to be a great track in comparison. Still I understand. Fontana (aka California Speedway) costs $260 now for a trackday! I'm doing buttonwillow 6/19 ($140) with ti2tt.net and Streets 6/27, ($125) with MTC. a Good to see you back here on gstwin. how was your time in argentina-it was a year, no?

I stand corrected.
this must be why I got tagged:
QuoteLeather Chaps are NOT acceptable.
no, you got tagged because they were ass-less chaps.
see he does have the RG disease!!!!
I have a nice ass.
oh, I know, I've seen it.... wrapped in leather.... oh so sexy.
you're not the first to notice...
ok this is getting ghey
i read there are still spots for this...so sign up!
yeah you guys sign up. the track is fun and i would be all over this if i wasn't for the fact that i have already been to the track.
dude...u got pm ;)
kaos, go anyway. you'll be surprised how many "first timers" there were last time they did this. if they have spots open near the end they'll give them to those with little experience. dont you only have one trackday and one school under your belt? do it!
nope, im up to two schools and a trackday. :) i'll also be in pahrump this weekend for two more trackdays. I'm pretty spent, this month I went crazy. I even went dirt biking this past Saturday. I'm looking forward to the following weeked for some R&R.
