Instead I told him about the life saving techniques you wouldn't learn by yourself, like when someone's tailgating you, most people (including him) would normally speed up... SLOW DOWN!!! Bikes can out accelerate MOST cars if you notice them doing something STUPID!!!

I just took my permit test in PA a few weeks ago and they (or you) have it backwards. In the "beginner motorcycle safety" pamphlet thing, it said if you are tailgated, speed up to provide a cushion btw yourself and the tailgater. :dunno_white:
I live in PA too. and thats what my book says .... if you slow down ... your gonna have a car up your ass. literally.

Which = slow down. I'm fairly sure in Proficient Motorcycling he says to slow down to give yourself ample distance to react should something happen in front of you.

Yes.... I basically forgot to type that section, but you basically slow down a TAD to give you more space in front.
