anyone have non dealer sourced shims in there bike? I'm looking at a couple onlne sources and just curious if anyone has sourced their shims from somewhere other than an dealer and if they worked just fine or they had any issues with them.
I got mine from bikebandit.com (they are still OEM shims) for about $9 a piece and $4 for delivery of all shims. Not sure how much your dealer is charging.

it's not the price i'm concerned with it's the fact that my dealer told me it would take over a week to order in anything smaller than a 2.6 and i'm heading out of town for two weeks in about a week and would like to get them in before i go to see if correcting the shims fixes the problem with my bike. I want to be able to ride when i get back or at least get it into a shop while i'm gone.
no one has shims from a non-suzuki source?
I know you can find them... but i dont remember where..... its cheaper here (kentucky) to get them from the dealer than through online (ie bike bandit) they order them for you here and for 9.00 and no shipping... bike bandit charges the same but then there's shipping... often if you can get them from the service dept (they usually have them) they'll sell um cheaper if they'll give um up (som times they wont).
