I think they're typically done on worn-out tires. Even then, they're dumb.
I've done two since I got my bike...
I really want a reason to buy a set of Sport Demons.

:thumb: :thumb:  :thumb: :thumb: I guess that and warming up the tire at the drag strip make sense. I can see it in a car, but on a bike where you only have two wheels helping you grip the road. Doing anything that would jeopardize that is bananas. :o
What? It was snowing... I was bored.
Is it just 'cause I videoed it and posted it on the Intarwebs?
Most people only do them on bad tires about to be changed, as pointed out earlier. Plus, they are a lot more fun when you actually do them .
I did one in my parking garage... But, the floor is like glass in there... So, the rear tire spun once, heated up enough to grip, and started pushing the locked front tire along the floor...
Didn't work quite like I planned it.
I've spun the rear tire just trying to ride in or out of the garage... :icon_confused:
