Need help. One of the jet needle was lost while working a '92 carb. :mad: I ordered 2 new ones from bikebandit, but they are different than the one that is currently there. The new needles are a bit shorter and and fatter at the tip (Part number 13383-01D00). Did they send me the wrong part or will this work ok? Trying to rejet with 150/40/2 washers (K&N lunchbox and Wileyco exhaust on bike). Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Did the needle you lost have adjustment notches on the top ...
In either case stock needles are what you'd have to use with the 150/40 formula.
So find them ...
BTW I may be able to find it in my pile of crap, but I have sold a bunch of needles to people, so no guarantee ... Its not same as katana needles I think - eyeball says they different ... but eyeball may be busted ... so we are SOL there ...

Wait a sec ... with DJ crap nothing of my formula works ... you got a stock needle new right ... get another one ... then do 2 #2's or 1 #4 and 150/40 and see if the slide has a hole blocked on the bottom ... you really dont need it, but even 1 blocked is OK, both shouldn't be blocked ... and you want stock size on atleast 1.
send me a pic and I'll tell you how bad it is.

1 of the hole is totally blocked, tho other has a plug thing but with a hole in it. Do I remove the plug with the hole or just leave it in? Does it matter which side the hole is in?

The blocked one you leave as is ... typically i'd remove the constrictor and drill it to the stock size ... but you can try it as you have it ... if its too slow to accelerate you can attempt to open up that hole a bit ... dont overdo it ... then the white stuff will come off and make your life miserable ... or drill a smaller hole in the other blocked off one.

If it's too slow to accelerate, should I drill a wider hole in the constrictor hole or just remove the constrictor hole thing all together?
How important is the tiny o-ring next to the diaphragm. Will the bike run without it? And do they sell it at Home Depot?
O-ring is vital - runs like crap without it.
If you have the one from the other carb you may be able to find a match at home depot or an auto parts store - but I have heard that even minor mis-match will cause problems.
