Title: Cruise control/throttle lock
Post by: stllplyswthcars on May 17, 2006, 12:26:42 PM
Here's one for you guys to help me solve.  I'm getting ready to make a 2,000+ mile trip from St. Louis to Philadelphia (and back) on my '04 GS500.  I'm looking for a way to hook up my bike so I can stretch/rest my throttle hand occasionally without a rapid deceleration.  Does anyone know if these clamp style throttle locks like you see on the metric cruisers will work on a sportbike?  I've figured a way to fabricate one and integrate it into my existing throttle housing but would rather buy something if available.  Thanks much, Scott.

I got a Universal Vista Cruise throttle lock on eBay for $20 and I have no complaints.

I think Kerry uses bubble gum and a wingnut or something.  I think I saw it on this
site or Kerry's site once.
