Title: Round SV mirrors...
Post by: Turd Ferguson on May 18, 2006, 05:13:09 PM
Welp, I screwed up.  I bought the round style mirrors off of a 2002 SV650 and they don't work.  On the SV, the threaded mount where the mirror screws in is at an angle, holding the mirror out over your hands.  As we all know, the GS500 threads are completely vertical.  Don't get me wrong, the SV mirrors would be great for checking for bugs in my teeth, but they will be lousy for seeing things behind me.

Damn.

Might be the angle of the mounts or the way they're set...  I know people have used them on GSs.

Can you not adjust them to work? I know mine have a bunch of adjustability in them.

Ed-Zakly!

Try this...  Loosen all the connectors and whatnot...  Then put them together ON the GS... Set things accordingly.  That's how I did it... Worked GREAT!
