Hey, why does the GS's carbs have both sliders and butterfly's?
I was asked by a co worker of mine, who happens to be a mechanic, and it boggled him as to why our carbs have both... cause some have one of the other.
anyone know?
:dunno_white:
Constant Velocity carb. Throttle cables control the BFlys and the slide is vacuum controlled. Provides better mixture control in transient conditions than a single plate carb and the Bfly has lighter throttle pull than a straight slide. CVs were the last major bike fuel system change prior to injection.
