Title: Carbon Fiber
Post by: bscott1204 on May 19, 2006, 11:38:38 AM
Any idea where I could find a pre-cut carbon fiber sticker to put around the instrument panel and the top of the forks where the handlebar mounts??

I think that would really dress up the look of the "dashboard" of the bike... but I can't seem to find anything.

Thanks in advance...

uh-oh you said the C-F word on this sight. watch out.

anyway, I bought a roll about 1ftx 4ft off ebay. its the fake sticker stuff, but it works fine and looks good.

I was gonna put it on my bike but lost my taste for the fake carbon fiber.

I doubt you'll find anything precut, but Check ebay and search "carbon fiber roll"

Yeah... Get a big sticker and cut it down...

The easiest way to do it is to stick it on and "cut" it in place...  If you rub the edges with something sharp, it will wear through the sticker exact on the edge.

Carbon fiber stickers add HP!!!   :thumb:

It's just a matter of taste...  SOme people are REALLY into the look of carbon fiber...

I can't talk though...  I like things that are checkered.

British bike. They had the option of clip-ons or tube-bars for a while, IIRC.

Yeah, but faux-carbon fiber is different from REAL carbon fiber. Real carbon fiber looks pretty nice, but that fake crap looks like shiza.

I'm with you on the checkered things though.

I have a cf exhaust can because its doesnt get hot and if i'm riding 2up, no ones boots melt to it. I do know a guy who has a speed four and has carbon fiber all over it, his tank and covers are black, it actually looks awesome and you don't notice the cf until you look really close.

idk, i think for some of us with earlier models could probably benefit from this. I would probably just paint my triple instead of a sticker.
