So apparently there is some new system in IL for the MSF that originated from Oregon. So along with a few minor teaching/course changes from the old system I now have to also wait 2 weeks for my completion card to come in the mail. :dunno_white:  :dunno_white:
So I have my bike now sitting outside of my apartment here for summer school... and no way to legally ride it. Lame. I was thinking about getting my permit and just retaking the whole thing at the DMV to expediate things... but even then I'd need to be with a rider to take my bike to the DMV or atleast ride alongside.
Think I would get shaZam! from them if I showed up w/ a permit on my bike with no friend?
They don't give you a temp one after the class is over until the "real" one comes? :dunno_white:
nope, nothing...
I'm kinda pissed... I think I'll see if I can get a hold of someone who has a license... maybe one of my friends can come down for the weekend So I can jsut grab my license form the DMV. It was a good course... but one of my instructor was so damn annoying.... not like she was helpful and annoying... but she was just harping all week with schizo body gestures.... :cookoo:
They told me itd be 10 business days (2 weeks duh) but the envelope was postmarked 3 days after the class, so i got it in 5 days, not too shabby. Heres hoping you get the same treatment :thumb:
That's totally lame. Here in Colorado, my classmates and I finished the class Friday afternoon at like 3:30pm. We all drove 5 miles to the DMV with our completion cards, paid $1 (yes, $1, helps offset the reduced costs for MSF courses here), and walked out with our paper temporary licenses before they closed at 5pm!
I guess just patience, my friend. ;)

WEAK!!! I got my card the same day...
It's not like a motorcycle is a handgun or anything... SHEESH! Why the wait week?
Does it make you feel any better that I paid $240 for my MSF and $97 for my bike tabs?
It took over three weeks for our cards to arrive after my bf and I took the MSF together!
Well... it just sucks because my friend who took the class last summer in IL said he got it the very same day. Oh well.. no biggy I guess.. I just really wanted to take advantage of the summer. Now its kinda summer -2 weeks :icon_razz:. Yea... 20 bucks for the class... and you can choose to get it refunded. Even though I was kinda pissed about the 2 weeks I still donated it. :thumb:
