When I downshift, massive tongues of dazzling flame and scalding fireballs are spewed forth by my exhaust can which ignite and consume any and all vehichles behind me.

The only smoke anyone sees is that rising from the smoldering ashes of the burnt out, charred husks that are all that remain.

A fire engine was once enveloped by this furious malestrom.  How is that for irony?

Have you done any modifications to the air filter/carbs/exhaust? If not, you should check your air filter as it may be clogged.

My sportster has the short drag pipes. If I pull the choke for a few seconds and push it back in then rev the hell out of it... I get flames...
