riding!
It's 70 degrees and sunny and I'm outa here. Had my neice's first bday party at Chucky Friggin Cheese's this AM and I've wasted several hours of seat time. Put the keyboard down and gear up!
Because my forks are sitting in my living room with me on here bitching about how I can't change the fork seals. This settles it. I will have to get a storage unit with power so I can bring my compressor and air tools back to FL with me.
It's cool and rainy today. If I really had the urge, it wouldn't stop me but I just don't feel like it. I've got stuff on the computer I gotta do anyways :icon_lol:
Because the dealer is stupid and forgot to order an oil gasket that goes in the crankcase and they tried to overnight it but it didnt come....
Its nasty here, a friend of mine wanted to ride to the stealer for the unveiling of some bike by suzuki :dunno_white: who knows he's :cookoo: its too gross and cold out for me right now, the honda is a PITA to clean after rain
It's sunny 'n seventy here too in the River City, and I'm chained to this freakin' desk at work(w/nothing to do, no less). Gotta be here, though, and then a wedding to attend tonite, so no riding after work, either. Oh well, I know there will be other days.
wish it was 70 here its freaking 90+ !!!
...because I'm not finished with the 90 project AND it just came a thunder/hail storm through here. About 15 minutes worth of hail. Max size about 1" diameter.
Hope it didn't dent the car surfaces. I picked up a new Dodge Magnum two weeks ago. It'd be a bummer to drive a "textured" car for two years (fleet vehicle).
Now it's deal clear and sunny. Lot's of steam/water vapor coming off the road and ground. Hail fog.
I just got back from a ride around town. Went to a few dealers and looked at bikes and gear, lusted over an old black and red Z1000 (love!) and then came home before it got too hot. Looks like we'll be cresting 95 today.
'Cause it looks like rain out here in North Georgia!
96 degres and I just got back from riding.....tommorow its gonna be like 99 degres here al least the tires are warm :dunno_white:
I'm on my lunch break from work... Parking the harley and pulling out the gixxer for the second half of the day... lol
Just got back in from a few hours of riding... A bit chilly, but so fun.
I just got throught riding 200 miles for three hours in the Idaho mountains on tons of twisties and sweepers and loved every minute. My bike just cracked 1000 miles before I parked it. So I'm happy.....80 degrees today :)
it's been in the 90s almost all week (100 yesterday) and yes i did ride all week. i don't have much choice to ride or drive my car since my other car is on its way to Hawaii and the wife drives the kids to school everyday. but now i'm with the kids while my wife practices a Hula performance shes doing in 2 days. i think i'll go to the garage and steal a peek at the GS. damn shes sexy!!! i was talking about my GS :thumb:
hehe 1k huh ! how long have you had the bike ? i'v had mine 7 months and it has 8653 on it :P bought it with 2 miles hahahahahahahahaha .... hey aqxea2500 keep a look out on the texas ride in the meet and greet section . you should have came to big bend with the rest of us !!!
because I just got back :icon_razz:

This was too funny. Congrats to all who did. Sorry to all who didn't. I got to ride a friend's SV650 for a bit today and I must tell you.......what a friggin bike. Torque. Nuff said.
If you know anything about the terrain around Philadelphia, I took it down Lincoln drive and it was a sweet but short ride. A few miles of urban twisties that is made for that bike. I love my GS, but I fell in love again today! (don't tell my wife, but I'm getting one)
I also did a panic stop on my ride home (on the GS)that would make any experienced rider's butt pucker. The issue? Speed.
Came over a rise and saw two cars in the right-hand lane of a four lane with brakes and my brain initally told me "they're slowing". A second later at 70MPH my eyes told me "THE RED LIGHT WAS BEHIND THE CARS AS YOU CAME OVER THE HILL" I hit the front brake and my 20+ years of dirt bike riding ass exclaimed "THE FRONT BRAKE IS JUST NOT GOING TO CUT IT BRO".
So I kept the front moving and stepped on the rear brake enough that I could stear left around the cars and slide ever so gracefully past them into the crosswalk markers to a stop. Two brake stops are key to saving the kids from not having their natural Father, when you've made an error.
It was one of those panic situations that you come out of smiling about the fact that you remembered the years of training to deal with situations like that, instead of the type that leaves your hands shaking (been there too)
That's all. Beer time
yeah thats way shady...had an incident the other day where I was waiting at a light to make a left...the light turned yellow and the oncoming car that I thought would stop decided to gun it instead. Wasnt too close really but still not fun.
Well, it is still rainy here today but I said to hell with it and rode anyways. Not a heavy downpour, just drizzle really. But I had to do it, I was gone all last week on business and then yesterday sucked. It was time 8)
aaaaaaaaaaaah so pissed...made it like 30min down the freeway to my favorite road when it starts poruing right when I get there and I have to turn around.
It's a gorgeous day and happens to be my day off as well.....Too bad I'm still waiting on the float needles....I guess I'll just have to cage it to Mission Trails Regional Park and bust out the camera some more....
still dont have my bike back

Wasting valuable riding time..... :dunno_white:
Well they were fixing after the crash. I finally got the insurance check. (I had to fight to get that done because of a bunch of hail claims that came right after I crashed) The dealer got the parts ordered and they came in but they forgot to order the oil gasket for the crankcase. They tried to overnight the piece so it would be here 2 days ago but it didnt come. And since they dont take deliveries on Saturday, and since they are closed on Sunday and Monday, hopefully I will have it back on Tuesday. The dealer said it will take like 15 minutes to finish and that everything else is done. I am essentially waiting on a 3 dollar part.
