I just sold my GS500E it was a 1995 model with 4000 miles on it and a custom paint job(didnt like purple color)i got 2000 dollars for it.
any way i got a new bike but i changed up and bought a suzuki boulevard c50c.
congrats, but keep that "Didn't like the purple" thing under wraps.
you might get attacked for it.
Purple is THE most sought after color on a GS, and raises the price about 15-20%
Anyways, congrats on the new bike.

:thumb: I like the C50... I had a hard time deciding which Boulevard I wanted to drool on and pretend like I was actually going to buy...
C50 is cool... I settled on drooling on the M50. :thumb:
The M50 is very nice but it has a wierd rear fender. i was initially going to get a blacked out M50 but the rear fender is way too high over the tire and it has the plastic fender like the gs in the rear that would need to be modified and the rear signals would have to be relocated.
I prefer the M50 Black... it looks so much cooler.
But the best one out of all of them is the M109R:

The 109 is just crazy... Looks like a horse or something... Plus it's 1786cc :o Not as bad as the Rocket III 2294cc... But, DAMN! It's still about as big as a Honda Civic Engine.
The M109R comes with a 240mm tire from factory.

That's more my style. I wonder if anyone would insure it for a 20 year old male. LOL

In my opinion the Boulevards are a great line. Good choice. You get tubeless tires with the "c" model too.
I'm drooling over the c50t. One of the best deals in a cruiser for two up riding.

As yes... The 'busa...
You know... I've heard that if you have a lot of... Uh... junk... they're really uncomfortable to ride... But, I guess no one that actually owns one would know.
:icon_mrgreen:
HA HA HA HA HA
The boulevard is a sweet lookin bike! way to go staying in the Suzuki line! :thumb:
I hope you'll keep checking in here from time to time - to say hello, eventhough you've moved on to another ride... We won't think any less of you, as long as you don't think too much of yourself on your new ride! :icon_lol:
PS: man you don't wanna be dissin' the purple... Pandy might just get mideval on your A$$... I'd say... START RUNNING!!!!

Almost and insurance company will insure you, it's just a matter of how much you're willing to pay! ;)

I think 1786cc is bigger then a Honda Civic engine and many other small car engines... it's got 5cc's on the 1781cc 1.8t engine that's in my A4 and many other VWs,Audis,Seats, and Skodas.

I went to Kanetix.ca to get a GSXR1300 quote. $3400 with a Gorilla alarm ($1000 ded on Collision and Specified Perils). This is compared to the $900 I pay for the GS.
When I changed my birthyear from 1966 to 1986, the quote changed to $15,600. :o :o :o :o
You may have to wait a few years for the 'Busa.

I looked it up... HTe '06 Civic is 1799cc. ;)
Yeah... It's still bigger than a lot of cars out there... Including my old '69 bug.

Quote from: Wrecent_Wryder on May 25, 2006, 12:39:08 PMHey, the stock GS puts out more horsies than my first car- a '64 bug.
Yeah... HA HA HA... Tell me about it. The '69 had a few more horses... But, most of mine were out in the pasture.

My Civic is a 1.6 (I think it's like 1587cc or something), so that IS bigger than my car.

But note that is a Turbo Hayabusa....... Pushing 17psi of boost, with no cans....
No one would insure me on that beast, or if they did lol... the pain.

The Boulevards are awesome, someday I'd like one. Not that M109R, RVertigo is right. It looks like a "horse or something". I don't need the biggest baddest engine to make me feel like a man or a good rider. If I wanted a phallus extension, I'd get a Harley :icon_razz: But anyways, good choice on the bike. PICS!!!
