Title: Turn signal question
Post by: t dubs on May 24, 2006, 06:54:07 PM
So I'm pretty new with bikes, much less doing anything mechanical on them, but I changed the turn signals. I got everything back together and they were all working for my first trek around the block. Turned off the bike, did nothing more, turned it back on and the right rear blinker no longer works.  :dunno_white: The right side also blinks faster if that makes any difference. I checked the connections and everything was good from what I could see. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! Thanks!!!

The right side blinks faster because one of the signals is out. There isn't enough reistance in only one bulb for it to flash normally, but with two there is. All I can suggest right now is to double check the connections. Unplug and replug the signals (and make sure the quick connectors seat correctly).

Yeah, I disconnected and reconnected them. Nothing. Thanks for the note on why the right's going faster! Makes sense.

Try switching the turnsignals around to see if it isn't just a bad bulb. It could have burned out.

I was doing this as you wrote actually. It is something with the blinker/bulb cause a different one worked. Thanks!  :)
