I thought lovebugs were pretty much a north Florida thing, and I had seen them (on my windshield) in Central Florida before. But last week I took the GS on a late afternoon ride out to Okeechobee, and the little farkers were EVERYWHERE! It was like riding in a snowstorm! My faceshield was almost completely plastered with the little bastards, and I had to find a place to stop and wash it off.
So, it turns out :2guns: lovebugs are alive and well in south Florida! Any interesting bug hazards in your country and/or neck of the woods?
I did wash & wax the GS yesterday. Looks purty! :thumb:
Yep, they swarm in Alabama too... we had them like crazy last year. Haven't seen them this year as of yet, you can keep them down there
I ran through a swarm of the kamikazee "f*ckers" at about 80mph. I had to wipe my visor and just smeared them and still couldn't see worth a shaZam!.
Texas coastal and piney woods have love bug storms
That's why I got a higher windscreen

:o
That would SUCK!
Spraying PAM cooking spray helps keep the radiator and engine clean, too.
i think that those things may make it all the way up to VA. I am sure that i have seem then before but never in swarms the size of what you guys down south are seeing.
not so bad.....if your hungry just open your mouth and chew.....mmmmmmm
the guys in FL who ride with no helmet......thats a laugh.
