well it is almost here... i can barely contain the excitement... :)
I will be attending the Jason Pridmore Star School on monday and tuesday... :)
I will be taking both the GS500e and the Sprint RS(backup bike)...
I will post pictures from the event after i get them from star :D
later,
Chris
well i survived the school :)
i highly recommend it to anyone who wants to be a better, more confident rider.
there was no pressure to go fast, but going faster is a by product of the skills that they teach you...
i have been riding for just over 3 years now, and i learned more in the 2 days that i was at the school than the entire time i have been riding on the street...
here are the links to the pictures of me on the gs... they had a great photographer and i havent purchased the pictures yet so i wont link directly to the images...

Looks cool! I've been thinking about doing a track day...
Maybe next year... :dunno_white:
Awesome pics!!! Where's that *jealous* emoticon!!?? :icon_mrgreen: :thumb:
i did a local trackday last summer, but the best laptime i got was a 1:52... my goal was to get better, smooter, and more confident... i just happened to also get a nice 1:47.8 laptime as a result...
my wife told me she had been timing me after the school was over, because she didn't want me to worry about my laptimes... i was staying at laptimes right at 1:50 and 1:49 all afternoon ... then the last session i got past a rider that was holding me up in the corners... the next lap was my new best and i wasn't even trying to go faster... :)
my bike should be capable of low 1:40s to high 1:30s at hallett, but the rider isn't quite there yet... i chicken out too early on turn one... i should be able to carry 90mph through it, but the most i have seen through turn 1 so far is about 70mph... that is an estimate because i havent actually looked at the guages mid turn... just a glance on the exit...

Chris
Very cool photos. :thumb:
So what exactly did you learn in this school?

So what exactly did you learn in this school?
you learn about throttle control... clutch control... body position and body steering... suspension tech... tire tech... one on one interaction with instructors to help with form and lines on the track...
we had danny eslick and jason pridmore at the school... jason taught the morning class sessions and danny and jason both helped with the on track instruction...
Jason and his staff have so much knowledge of motorcycles and riding that they can't really condense it all down into 2 days...
every session you could see the riders improving as they got instruction on and off the track ...
if you want to be a better rider... it can't hurt to take a school...
