Some of you may know or remember that i have a lean problem. Im getting ready to do some work on the bike and i wanna know what kinda jets to get. Im rejetting the bike to stop it from running lean. It hangs around 3k and i wanna get this solved. So i wanna know what size jetts and how many washers do i need.

Sorry bout that. Its a 1996, stock everything. No mods.
ok in that case get a 40 pilot jet
and either a pair or 125 or 127.5 main jets,
we have 125s as standard over here in the uk but you guys get 122.5
you'll probly not need to shim the needle, but you may have to as you have a different jet needle to us as well,
that should cost you about $10 dont get a dyno jet kit or any thing like that that will cost you a fortune

So i guess i just ned to get the Jets and then shim as needed. Do you shim the mains or all three.
lol. no no you screw in you mains
http://www.crc2onlinecatalog.com/misc_carb_parts.htm#Main%20Jets $3.25 each or http://www.sudco.com/mikuni_mj2.html#n102221
and also you screw in the pilot jets

the jet needle is at the top of the carband is held in place by a spring youll have to get a couple of washers to put under the c clip that is already in place, some times there is a washer above the cclip that you can use to stick under neath
do you understand all that??
Yeah, i get that the shims go on the the needle not under the jetts themselves. Still kinda foggy on wheather all three needles get washers or is it just the mains.
no the mains don't get washers neither do the pilot jets, its only the jet needle (its a different thing from the mains and pilot) thats located at the top of the carb
the mains and pilots are located at the bottom of the carb,
ill try find you a pic
