After my carb rebuild and float height fix, the bike is really lean thru idle and has a pronounced dead spot at 6k. Plan to take the carbs off, richen up the air/fuel screws, and shim the needles. Therein lies the problem.
me: 'looking for a really small washer, #4'
home depot, rona, local hardware store, local everything store: '#8 is as small as we carry.'
Where did y'all buy a #4 washer?
I got mine at Ace/True Value, along with most of my metric fasteners. I have bought small brass copper washers (a little thinner) at another store. There were in those small bags but do not recall what store.
Fastenal. Barring that, if you don't find one, I will be home next week and can send you a set.
got mine at lowes.... it took forever to find it though... even with the guys' help
Orchard Supply, McMaster Carr, Grainger, Fastenal, any of the industrial suppliers, but you have to buy a box of 100, and nobody's bike is that lean.
turns out the big home stores dotn have jack i had to go to a small place called virgils to get mine.. but ace truevalue has it too..
or check with RC shops.
Thx guys. I'll check with the maintenance guys on-site here and see who the buy from, there has to be some canadian industrial supplier around.
rant over, for now. :icon_lol:
PM me your address. I'll send you some for free.
